Franken's taxes are no different than McCain's back tax issue in San Diego. Franken paid taxes in NY and MN because he lived there and didn't pay taxes in 17 other states where he appeared.
In both McCain's and Franken's cases their accountants were hired to take care of these issues.
Should Franken fire his accountant? You bet. Does he now have a better understanding of tax law? You bet.
Will he win in November? If the VP choice for McCain is someone other than Pawlenty? Maybe, if Pawlenty is McCain's VP, no way.
