1) call a few friends ahead of time.
2) wait until he leaves for a few hours
3) with help, collect his belongings carefully (videotape if necessary)
4) load up a car / truck and take his stuff to a storage unit (1 month is like 40 bucks)
5) change only the deadbolt (so you don't have to replace all locks)
