A friend of mine has gone through this type of situation three times since he bought his house a couple of years ago. Twice it ended badly, with one ex-roommate basically fleeing the state to avoid paying up.
I was the one deadbeat renter who handled it like a man. I had lost my job and was one month behind on rent. When I was asked to leave I maned up and collected my ****, moved to my parents for a couple months, got my **** together, payed the guy back and we are still close friends.
I was pissed when he told me to get out but looking back on it I am glad he did it when he did. If I would have stuck around and ended up owing him more money like the other two it may have eventually turned bad like those did.
****ty situation shmooth. I wish you the best.
