What subject are these scientists wrong about?

Nature doesn't move in perfectly straight lines up or down. Most of nature moves in fits and starts. My favorite is the greed and fear of human nature in the stock market. Do prices move straight up, or are there corrections that take prices down for awhile? I wouldn't pin your arguement on one year's data. You need much longer time frames as evidence to support your postion.
