What I don't get is why so many think that things are somehow 'different' under Dantonio than under previous
MSU coaches, and that we should therefore expect different outcomes from what we're accustomed to seeing.
What exactly was different under Dantonio last year? To the contrary, it looked to me like much of the SOS. Fast start to season, weak conference record, mediocre overall record, blown 2nd half leads (Iowa and Michigan), inexplicable loss to at least one inferior foe (Northwestern), losses to Michigan and OSU...
Dantonio has done a lot of good things, and
appears to be putting the program on the right track. But judging from the loyalty he has already inspired in many, you would think he's already delivered a national championship and multiple Big 10 titles.
