Because he ****ing convinced a girl that one of his players raped to NOT go to the police because HE would take care of it, then he covered the whole thing up and silenced her for, what, a year and half or so? Then she goes public and all hell breaks loose, and Barrent decides to get the hell outta there and play for
, and everything's miraculously been quiet again. Any AD with any sort of a backbone pulls the trigger ASAP, but when you've got a good thing going and the media's in your back pocket, you can do what Iowa did and pretend like nothing ever happened.
