This tells me two things regarding MSU football. One, the coaches are willing to do everything necessary to bring in the talent needed (ie. Coach D in Chicago doing what he can to get Drummond). Two, that we REALLY need help at DE. Even if we get Gholston we need 2-3 more good prospects that can help. If we get the last visit, Jan. 30th, from Drummond it could get interesting. Scout changed his profile a few days ago to Ill., MSU and Ole Miss. Hopefully, we can get him to visit MSU and see the PT that is available.
The reason for his decommitment from Ill. is that he tried to enroll early and was denied, though he should be fine for the fall semester. Also, his recruiting coach has left for another position. These are the two reasons that I have read about. We should know more about where we stand after he visits Ole Miss this weekend. If we get a visit it will at least make it interesting for us around signing day. |
