Will Smith was in this thing call "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" before Bad Boys.
Martin Lawrence also had his own sitcom.
You can say, yeah, they became movie stars after they did this movie, but Will Smith was inevitably going to be a movie star.
Shia LaBeouf had multiple movies before Transformers. While the Greatest Game Ever Played only grossed $15 million, it gets a lot of play on movie channels. Distubia raked in $80 million and probably brought Shia to the level he is at now.
Ben Affleck had this thing called "Good Will Hunting" that made him famous.
And most importantly, no NIcholas Cage wasn't a big actor when you cast him. He had just been nominated for 2 Golden Globes. Additionally, when you cast him, he had already been cast in "Leaving Las Vegas" which he would win an Best Actor Oscar for, as well as 11 other best actor awards for the same role.
Michael Bay = ********* who thinks he's the ****, when he makes ****ty movies.
