Friends: NYC Hotel Help needed

I recommend the Belvedere Hotel on 48th Street and 8th Avenue; very convienient for the theater. Also, a small gem is the Mayfair Hotel, on 49th Street (I think) between Broadway and 8th Avenue. Both are great for Times Square and theaters.
