Reading the rivals headline today got me thinking about how much perception has changed about the program in the past 2 years. We aren't elite yet, but we're now in the category of "good teams looking to become great". Another 9-10 win season this year gets us into even better territory with 2010 and 2011 going to be even better.

So to my fellow Spartans, those of us who went through the Perles Era of CMU losses and sanctions, Muddy Waters, the Rogers defection, the Saban Circus and the Bobby Williams/JLS ****storm, how're ya feelin now??

I went throught all of those eras of probation and just plain bad football teams who would quit, or look completely lost in important games. There were glimpses of the same old Spartans a couple of times last year against OSU and PSU. Once those bad habits disappear then I will fell that hey Michigan State is not only a great basketball school but they play great football too. This may be the year.
