I have thought the same thing. Assuming you already have a degree, you could pick up what they require in a year or so. Starting pay isnt bad, but you are the new guy so you get the worst hours, also end up doing a lot of the removals. I did a lot of work with a funeral director in Florida, and learned a lot working with him. The biggest thing for me was to seperate the emotional side from the business. You have to treat the body with dignity, but you also have to remember that it is just another body. Good luck with it.
