you have to punch in the recepient's 10 digit number and then "@" whatever provider they have. which is ******ed.

my other gripes are:
(1) that there is no way to have the phone ringer on, but only a vibrate option for new texts. 
(2) there is no external LED which blinks when you have a new VM, or text msg. 
i've had the phone for 4 days, i'll give it a 8/10. the only reason it doesn't get a better rating are the reasons above.
