GRR,
I agree to some extent but disagree a bit as well. If this tape (or tapes/pics, whatever) was made years ago pre-beginning a journey of seeking a holier life, then I would say "sin free" is not so necessary. However, I look at Newt Gingrich, who is extremely articulate and has a way of communicating, has given up his opportunity to speak for a religiously conservative group. Even if he truly has changed, his past, repeated actions have disqualified him in my eyes.
For me, the bigger issue is, why would a conservative group look to someone who shows off their body as a way to make a living, even consider this person as a spokesperson in the first place? Even without the tapes, the whole "beauty pageant" thing is the direct opposite that a religous conservative would profess and support.
