MSU Bowl Scenarios

Looks like MSU will be in a battle with 3 teams for bowl position.

Minnesota: Likely will finish at 6-6 (3-5)
MSU: Likely 6-6 (4-4) , could also finish 7-5 (5-3)
NU: 6-6 (3-5) or 7-5 (4-4).

Anyone know if the Alamo or Champs has the 5th selection? Also, if 7 teams are eligible for bowls in a conference with 7 bowl tie-ins, does a 7 win team still have to be selected before a 6 win team?
