You're most likely going to be eating those words in about a week.

I am a pretty objective guy Big M but your trend instate has to cause some concern to the faithful.
You definitely have the top guy in Campbell. But you are looking to go 1/5 as far as the top 5 goes. You got Teric Jones but he certainly isn't as good as Baker.
And you look at next year. Gardner and Gholston look to be early OSU leans. Bullough and White look to be early MSU leans. You guys look good for Jeremy Jackson but that is pretty easy on, although he is really liking USC if they offer.
Now don't take this as the sky is falling, as clearly you guys can recruit out of state very well, but Michigan is seeing an upswing in talent and it looks like you are losing out on a lot of guys you usually get. Has to be some cause for concern.

I'm a bit concerned but I still think it is extremely early to make judgments. Like I've said before, UM doesn't rely on in-state recruiting nearly as much as most schools do, and if RR keeps landing top out of state players like McNeal, Newsome, and Turner, I won't have many complaints. I mean, UM has lost out on Baker, Jackson, and Norman (though you can argue RR never had a shot since he had already committed). Baker and Jackson are at positions that UM has plenty of options at- Norman is at a position where UM got 4 4 stars last year.
That said, my number one concern right now is line recruiting. Want to see more OL and DE prospects identified and offered. (another reason I'm not really freaked out by in-state recruiting- most of the top guys are skill position guys where RR has already shown he can get guys from anywhere).
Edit- one final note- I don't mean to completely downplay in-state, because yes, it is a concern if RR can't get most of the in-state kids he wants. I guess my point is that A- the guys UM has really wanted aren't at positions where they are huge losses and B- RR is still 4-5 months into the job without any state of Michigan ties. It's going to take time to catch up.

Well looks like we will be fighting it out for Dylan Farrington. Sounds like he is emerging as a high talent type of kid and will be a battle between the two instate schools.

Why would his mentor work FOR him? JLS should be coaching Florida.

Poster on Spartanmag says the wots is that Nichol is going to UofM. Comes from a guy who hangs out at a bar in Ada which is next to Lowell. He says it will be announced very soon.

I really doubt that; I don't even know if he's gotten his release yet.
