He is projected to a OT but I think he is playing both. Hell I think Crisp has only played 1 year of football

Here is a link to a 2010 class top 100 list. There are 3 players from MI and others with MSU interest in the top 100.

Arguably the best OL in Ohio. Some (i.e. Jim Tressel) would say that Matt James is on top.

Well Tressel hasn't stated it and both have OSU offers.
James was the hotter commodity early however Duane Long and Marc Gilver both believe that Norwell is the best offensive lineman in Ohio.
Really can't go wrong with Norwell, James or Miller. Assuming Miller can keep his weight down.

Heres how I would rate them
1.Norwell-OT(6'7 275) Outstanding 5 star type prospect
2.James-OT(6'8 300) probably a high 4 star, great feet
3.Donnel-OT(6'7 250) I would say borderline 4 probably 5.7 rating, very athletic
4.Pace OG(6'4 270) Not the biggest, but very athletic, and tenacious probably 5.6-5/7 type guy
5Miller OG (6'5 310)- Weight problem but a good one, can come off high at times, very smiliar to Pace but a little taller and heavier. 5.6-5.7

tSV offered James a couple months ago now, while Norwell got his offer just a few days ago. I think that says it all....

And Larry Caper got his offer from us about 8 months before Edwin Baker, that doesn't mean that the staff feels that Caper is so much better than
Baker.

Does anybody have an idea of approximately how many scholarships we will have available for 2010?

Scholarship Jr.'s on the roster:
Andrew Hawken
A. J. Jimmerson
Josh Rouse (?)
Blair White
Rocco Cironi
Brendon Moss
Joel Nitchman
Mike Schmeding
John Stipek
Trevor Anderson
Michael Jordan
Adam Decker
Brandon Denson (?)
Kendell Davis-Clark (If he comes back next year)
Dan Fortener
Ashton Henderson
Jeremy Ware
Ross Weaver
Brett Swenson
From this list it looks like there are 16-19 scholarship Jr.'s on the roster right now.
I did not include Jentrette because if he comes back he will still be a Jr.

The square is seldom if ever cool ... He is "not with it", that is, he doesn't know "whats happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." And if he can bring himself to approve of what's happening, he becomes "groovy." And after that, with much luck and perseverence, he can rise to the rank of "cool."

DE from Warren Mott, in Warren MI.
Does anyone think we will take 3 DE's if we don't get Buchanan or Nunez? It would be great to pickup Gholston, Snow and Olaniyan. It's still early but these guys are obviously good prospects and we are in good shape with all of them.

He goes to Mott and I don't have an sub to scout to see the full list but I know his name is starting to get out there.
He is a defensive end and I can certainly see him in the top 10 in the state next year after camps and such.

Met this kid last summer during a bball summer league. He's a physical freak, but judging by the 20-30 mins in which I had a chance to talk to him I developed a strong doubt he would even qualify to play at MSU. This is just of pure judging a book by its cover, but take it for what its worth. Nice guy though.
He also looks like the guy who sang funky cold medina and was in the movie blank check.

He is indeed a freak! I really like Olaniyan and have him ranked #8 in the state right now and he could definitely move up more.
As for grades...I've seen them. He hasn't taken the ACT yet, but right now his gpa isn't particularly outstanding, but not bad enough that he has no shot. He's in decent shape, if he can do well on the test.
