If DickRod moves them to other positions, he suddenly has a reputation of moving dual threat QBs to other positions, and that would certainly help our chances with Gardner and Bolden if they both really want to play QB.

Check out this WR from IL. Hearing from MSU and others. Illinois is leader it seems purely based on being from IL.
Anyway, he is 6'6" WR

I just want to know how you spelled Bolden "Bloden" not once...but four times.

Watched LB Austin Gray against a sub-par East Detroit team last night and he was unimpressive had I think 2 tackles and was being blocked by much smaller players.

Austin Gray had 5 Tackles, 1 Sack, 1 Tip Pass, and a Caused Fumble. That was only a Half. The game will be on Warren TV all week.

I used to teach at a school in that division. The middle linebacker for our school was in my class. He was 5'7 and 155 lbs. I guarantee you he put up 5 tackles a game. Sorry, that line for Gray does not impress me very much.

so 5 tackles a sack and a forced fumble in ONE half isn't good?

Competition plays a large role in determining what is "good." I once struck out 4 batter in an inning in baseball and I was far from a "good" pitcher. As I stated before, if Coach Dantonio believes he is a good player with the skills to produce at a D1 level then I will believe. However, after watching many games in that conference I take all of his stats with a heavy grain of salt.

Gray!
Last year Fizgerald played in one of the best class B leagues in the state in MAC GOLD. Marine City won the Division 4 State Title and beat Fitzgerald on a Hail Mary! Gray had 12 tksl that game and had over a 100 tkls last year as a sophmore. The League Fitzgerald plays in this year (Silver) is a step down in talent. So far this season he's had 15 tkls and 2 sacks in a game in a half. And I should also mention Fitzgerald will blow out alot of the teams in this league so Gray will only play a half in several games. Gray has not played his best football yet and will get better as the season continues. Fitzgeralds schedule is better than Traverse City SF outside of Nouvel. Nouvel is pretty good program. Nobody's worried about Max playing class C (Division 7) football. I watched Max play and I'll be honest I think Gray is every bit as good. I'm not saying Max is a bad player or prospect because we all know that is not true. But if Austin's last name was Bullough people would be jumping up and down. Last, none of these kids are finished products. Potential is what all college coaches are looking for and both (Max and Austin) have a ton. MSU watched Gray for a week a camp. I think they know what they are looking for in a prospect.

Wow, that is impressive. Did you strike out a kid on the bench?
Seriously, goingfortwo, do you know Austin? I feel like you have come on other boards with info about him.
And, in terms of competition, the kid was at the summer camp for MSU, and I heard he was very impressive (same thing at PSU). So, if he was good enough there, he could likely get an offer. If that happens early, MD obviously thinks the kid will be a solid big ten LB.

so I seriously have to break down baseball now for you people.
Striking out 4 in one inning is not that hard if your catcher can't catch the damn ball

Gray!
Let's just say I'm very close to the situation and I'm a huge spartan fan. I also know a former MSU player Kyle Cook very well. I would love for Austin to attend MSU. Everything will take it's course.....I can tell you MSU wants to see him play in person and says they really like him alot. Time will tell how good he really is.....I'm pretty confident he's a D-1 LB. Last, I think that MSU will only take one MLB and I think Austin is considered a MLB. With Max getting the first offer I think they may string Gray along a bit to see what happens. But I do think Gray can play Strong Side LB in college and maybe better suited. Weakside maybe a reach. As for Max I think he's a Middle or a potential DE. If interested I will keep you updated and I don't get offended by anybody's comments.

What I've been told is MSU plans to take 3 LB's in 2010. They want to have a three deep LB depth chart. With that being said schools are looking for Outside guys first! Then inside guys. It's all about speed and athletic ability. Most schools now recruit big safeties to play OLB and OLB's to play ILB and ILB's to play DE.

I'm still not impressed, I go to East Detroit high school and our RB is a 5'11" 160 lb kid who was in jail last year and our two best lineman are 220 and 250 lbs respectively. I'm sure the kids the real deal im just saying he wasnt that impressive in this game.

I think he should credit for two tackles on every play then. One for tackling your running back and another for tackling his parole officer
