Honestly, my problem with it is that if you're going to make a post referencing a post on a premium board....link the post. It's not your information.

Fair enough and will do from now on. Didn't know if linking message board content was allowed. Never seen it done before.

Reid Fragel has now been offered by MSU and Ohio State, looks like OSU is the team to beat. Damn shame we didn't offer this kid a month or two ago,i think he would of committed and OSU would of never gotten into the picture.

ok now you're going to get this going over here. You Dont Know For A Fact That He Would've Commited Had Dantonio Offered 1-6 Months A go! You're just guessing.
He's A Solid Prospect But lets Emphasize the word PROSPECT. is far more knowledgeable in knowing when to offer a kid then either you or I

I am checking but not sure if OSU is offering as a TE specifically or more Athlete (e.g. OL like scUM).
OSU has NOT offered Sims and he is more a true TE prospect (or WR, but not OL)
MSU should have an advantage if we are sticking with TE, at least promise to be fully evaluated at that position since MD will never guarantee a position.

MSU offered Fragel yesterday per a Bucknuts article. Says he like MSU and OSU, but is pretty wide open right now.

Yeah...I'm really thinking this kid ends up at OSU. Too bad, perhaps we waited too long to make our move.

After reading the article about him on rivals I feel the same way. I would be surprised if he picks MSU.

From a career perspective, my bet is that more players get drafted to the NFL per year at OSU than they do at MSU. That, and playing in a BCS bowl every year.
Of course, that is only two factors, with depth charts, education major, and personal preferences are all in play here.

And why do you think that is?
...because they get higher rated kids to come to their school every year. If MSU was putting up Top 5 classes every year, we'd be putting a hell of a lot of kids in the NFL.

Exactly! MSU puts plenty of kids into the NFL, the real difference between the two schools is what type of bowl you're more likely to go to. OSU is where they want to be and has the advantage, but Dantonio has the program headed in the right direction, and the kids are beginning to see it.
Will see what happens with this case, but with DT a likely first rounder, and KFD also likely to be drafted coaching that gets you to the league shouldn't be a question.

So apparently all hell broke loose on Reid's visit to OSU. From BuckeyePlanet:

Reid had a very interested recruiting trip. (Didn't commit or anything along those lines). Its from a premuim message board, but one of the crazier spring game stories that will ever come about on a recruiting visit.

It's pretty clear. His family was mugged and Reid didn't especially want his family to turn over all of their valuables so the muggers got a 6'9" 250lb ass kicking.

I don't have the premium access so I don't know the full story but based on what you guys are saying that criminal has to go down as VERY stupid. I think I'll attempt to rob the family with that gigantic guy with them. Good Idea!

Wave bye bye to Fragel. A SpartanMag writer thinks that he could be heading to a neighbor state soon.

It isn't time to say bye bye to Fragel. Although I have said that I thought OSU was the team to beat since they offered on SpartanMag.
However the writers don't always get everything right as you know. The same writer thought Fred Smith was going to U of M. Now yes it was very difficult to call.
But clearly from his post, some sources are saying he is an MSU lean.
In the end I would hate to lose Fragel. I don't see us having a great shot at Hazelett and Hageman. Sims we have a good chance at but we don't know if he will play football.
It is just difficult to find dynamic tight ends like Fragel and having one in our backyard and him going elsewhere would suck.

Do you believe everything you read? Even if that's where the kid was today, he could have a completely different idea next fall or in February.
