Maybe he seems a "tad small" for the Big Ten because these numbers are from before his junior year of high school.

How is that small???
Lineman don't have to be 330 to be good. 300 is perfectly fine, and this guy still has a year of high school football to play, he doesn't even have to try to put on weight.

He probably means small = short. Some people still think you need to be tall 6'5-6'7 to play offensive tackle.

What's funny is that when I saw his picture and read his boi I was like "Man, that's one big dude." Funny how two people can have such differing opinions from the same article.

I just thought about some of the recent good OTs in the big ten
Robert Gallery, Krik Barton, Joe Thomas, Levi Brown, Jake Long
Those are some big dudes, and it seems like every team has guys that are 6'6, 330. I just thought by the standards other teams have set, yeah, 6'4 is a wee bit short

he may very well be a Guard prospect which is fine. MSU needs OL and I hope the coaches end up offering him.

yeah, I'd say he'd be a great interior guy rather than outside

He'd be a guard or a center in college. The type of guys who will probably end up being tackles are guys like Heuter and Deyo who are 6'7" and 6'6" respectively.

Rivals - Clemons a Well-Rounded Lineman $
No offers. Likes MSU. Says they make him feel right at home. Measured at 6'4 1/2" and 298 pounds at MSU's Rivals Academy.

I'm down for offering him, but it seems like the coaches are waiting on camp season to start filling out the line.

If the coach wants to wait till the camps to offer the O-line why did Treadwell already get one? is he that much better than everyone else or did he get a push because of who his daddy is?

He's likely to play DT, I believe.

No most likely an interior offensive line position. Center or guard is what is speculated.

Well then, maybe the fact that they've seen him up close and personal is the reason for the offer. Most of these kids they haven't fully evaluated. Kids like Linsley, Hill, etc., do have offers.

Yeah I mean most offensive lineman are going to be big. The big thing is lateral movement and so forth.
Film isn't that accurate either because most of the time OL are big maulers. That is probably why Clemons doesn't have an offer.
I think he gets one at camp though.

The thing that intrigues me about Clemons is that he looks rock solid. He doesn't look soft with baby fat or that kind of thing. He looks like he could end up being an absolute rock with some mobility.
Get him.

Yeah I know. I would like to see us getting some of the inside track on some of these guys before too long though. (Yes, I know it's VERY early in the process, but with so many early commits now-a-days....) From what I read it looks like some of the linemen are very keen on us and are just waiting for an offer to be tendered.
