Information that has been thrown around by some people in the know. Not saying he is committing today or in the next few days. But I can see it happening in a week or a month. I really believe he will be one of our next few commits.

It was a post on the premium forum, that's why.

He was asked about his rumored commitment-to-be very soon, he said..."no comment. I don't know. Wait and see. I can't really say anything, but I really don't know yet."

Sounds like a

Will be at practice this Sunday.

All of the Gordon talk has slowed a lot lately. Is it still being rumored that he'll commit before the end of Spring ball?

I don't have inside info on this one, but my prediction is that he commits on Saturday. I'll be there to shout some positive coaxing during the game. I'll also have an extra drink or two after the game to celebrate the Spartans nabbing another stellar 4 star talent!

Dantonio was talking WR recruiting at the Downtown Coaches Club luncheon yesterday. I don't think it was classified information so allow me to paraphrase.

"I look for big, strong, tough receivers. I like receivers who can play defensive back and vice versa. There will be no lack of toughness in this program. And a receiver who does not play DB might not have the toughness we are looking for. And he might not be able tackle. So I can't count on him to play special teams. Then if there are a couple injuries on defense, I can't move him over to help out. Same with defensive backs - if he does not also play receiver than he probably can't catch the football. We can't afford dropped interceptions. So we recruit for receiver with that skill set in mind. That is why you should not be surprised when you see a kid like Chris L. Rucker coming over from cornerback to play some receiver this spring."

One thing is certain. Dantonio isn't just scouring rivals.com to set up his list of recruits. Players like Rucker and Jones are proof that he does his own investigating into what players will work on his team.

Considering 30% chance of rain in the morning and than stop around 11am and not start again until after 5pm, chances are good we get no rain during the game.

The square is seldom if ever cool ... He is "not with it", that is, he doesn't know "whats happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." And if he can bring himself to approve of what's happening, he becomes "groovy." And after that, with much luck and perseverence, he can rise to the rank of "cool."

I post about this kid all the time, but I clearly stated above that I had no inside info on Gordon....just a gut feeling. I didn't know anything about the mentioned timeframe. With that being said....he's just got to be excited about being State's
