I feel bad for the kid. Should have been an exciting day for him and bam, now he's the butt of a joke. When I first read this story, I thought he had made up all the recruiting info himself. Whoever did this should be hung up by his balls from a flagpole.

that was my thought. So now he "paid" a fake guy to get recruited. Not good...

This is starting to happen, a lot. You pay people to get the word out for your kid, and they usually get him into a D3 school, sometimes D2.

Hart: I Made It Up
Kevin Hart, the Fernley (Nev.) High offensive lineman who said he was duped into believing he was recruited to play at California acknowledged Wednesday that he made up the story.
"I wanted to play D-I ball more than anything. When I realized that wasn’t going to happen, I made up what I wanted to be reality," read a statement sent out by Teri White, assistant superintendent of the Lyon County School District, on behalf of Hart. "I am sorry for disappointing and embarrassing my family, coaches, Fernley High School, the involved universities and reporters covering the story."

He made it all up
The kid in Nevada who had the presser saying he was getting a football scholly to Cal (and Cal said they had never heard of the kid)...he made it all up.

Christ.......I just feel bad for the kid. He has got to finish his senior year of high school with the entire school just disgusted with him. Obviously he has some mental issues/deficiencies.
