I was walking through Rice (alma mader) this past week and I passed Benton in the halls. I was about to tell him to go to State but then I think he would of thought of me as a big d bag seeing I am 6 years older than him.

He measured 6-0, 188 at a recent camp.

I read recently that he had a pretty high interest in UM as well. I then read on here that he has OSU as his top and MSU up there as well. Does he have a top 4-5 schools, is UM not really in the picture? Thanks!

Will Benton Make an Early Decision?$
Benton expects an offer on junior day and could commit on the spot.

I think we need to start flooding jeremy crabtree's inbox with hate mail. Benton was invited to last years junior all american combine, plus the early interest from Ohio State and several other major bcs programs ought to make him a sure 4 star top 250 prospect.

On another note, strength and speed are much more important to a safety than height. You have to be able to come up and stop a 220lb RB if you have poor LBs and the like. If those stats are legit, then DAMN, he's ridiculously strong.
If he can run a 4.5 at 6'0 and 200 he'll play just fine.

I bet he was offered and if in fact he did commit, coach probably told him to go home talk about it with his family then make a decision. IIRC that is how coach like to do things, no commits on campus go home talk about and sleep on it then make a decision.

Visiting Soon $
Will attend a Spartan Junior Day on March 16th. Definitely has noticed the talent acquired by the Spartans so far. Will commit when he and his family are comfortable.
