I believe that he camps at MSU next week, and he may be counting on getting one, but he does not have one as of yet.
I think that he would be a great get, but with Hunter and McDougald still out there, and with Pat White now committed, I don't know that there will be an offer right at camp uless he really wows them. Or, if they see White primarily as a reciever, I could see an offer for Benton. We will not be taking more than 3 DBs this year.

McDougal is a good talent, but Benton really appears to be one as well...and really really wants to be a spartan. I'd definitely like this pickup, and I'd still put my money on us getting Hunter. Leave a spot for Hunter, cause he looks like a very real possibility, but McDougal is more of a "Well if he gets by these two schools, then he might be ours" kind of guy IMO.

How does the Dana Dixon offer and commitment affect Benton's recruitment? A week ago, many of us thought an offer was right around the corner for him.

I talked to him on Facebook he says MSU is playing around too much. I guess Dantonios Thorough approach doesnt work for everybody but oh well its served him well thus far. |

I was thinking the same thing but if it's one thing I've learned from this past season, it's to trust Dantonio and his staff.

My thought exactly. Clearly, the recruiting sites aren't exactly up to date. Is it possible for you to ask him who he all has offers from? When Dixon committed, there was much discussion about his offer list being superior to Benton's, but if Benton's got an offer from Wisconsin, that would be more impressive than any school on Dixon's list.
