Hondo with more professional recruiting analysis.
More amateurish slop from Hondo, in an effort to rank the ’08 football recruiting class. He claims he has quotes from outside the MSU community, but these quotes seem to come from high school coaches, not college coaches. Here is one of his more outlandish claims: “Chris McDonald TE/DT 6’5” 269# Sterling Heights, MI McDonald projects as a TE at MSU, but if he continues to grow and bulk up the Spartan staff has their eyes on him moving to the DT spot. He is a competitor and an exceptional student. Dantonio said that he, “ Ran a 4.28 40,…”
6’5, 269 lbs., running a 4.28 40 yard dash!!!

so even if the stop watch misfired, 4.40 is still pretty good, isn't it?

And why hasn't Hondo been fired yet? Seriously, the man's the most unprofessional hack ever. EVER.

It's probably just a typo, 4.82 would be good for a behemoth.

Just listened to what Dantonio actually said about him, He said that hes a power athlete who will start at TE. He said hes 270 lbs and runs a 52 quarter, running the 400 meters. I'm not a track guy so I have no idea what that means, but Dantonio made no mention about his 40 time at all so I do not know where Hondo got that from. I'm 90% sure Hondo got him and Keshawn Martin confused.

52 seconds is a good time, you will place in many meets with a time like that. My HS record was 48 something, and those times are unreal in HS. I would guess that most state meet finals are between 48.8 - 51 seconds.

For 270 pounds......a 52 second quarter is quite impressive. If its from stand-still and not a relay split. Pretty much anyone decent in high school can run a 54-55 second 400 but for that size I would say its good.
4.28 is ridiculous though. Think that is faster than Maurice Greene's first 40 when he set the WR. Can't wait to see this kid play

He doesn't run a 4.28. Darrell Green ran a 4.22 at his combine. No way anyone that big can run that fast. He would be at USC or had successfully challenged the NFL age limit by now if he was actually that fast.

53 news is an AWFUL low budget news. Maybe I just got spoiled watching the detroit news stations, but 53 news looks like it was made by high schoolers. The people on it are hideous as well. Horrible news reporting with horrible sets make it an awful show to watch.

Don't recall him running the 400 at either the regional meet or at the Macomb County finals. 51.9 placed at the regional meet.
