Football Video of top 4 RBs in MI

Here is a list of Free videos I compiled of the top 4 rbs in the state next year. I wanted to try and find free highlights for non-rivals/scout users so they could see for themselves.

Larry Caper
YouTube - larry caper

Hershey Jackson
Hersey Jackson

Teric Jones
http://vmedia.rivals.com/uploads/883/548433.wmv

Edwin Baker
I couldn't find a highlight video of him that was free, but even if you don't have a rivals account, you should be able to click Highlights in the top right corner and see one clip for free (rivals allows you to watch one set of clips without a subscription once).
Edwin Baker - Football Recruiting

Honestly my opinion after watching all 4 videos is that my top 4 rbs in the state are as follows.

#1. Edwin Baker
#2. Larry Caper
#3. Teric Jones
#4. Hershey Jackson

I know a lot of people find Caper overrated. I'm not sure what to think, I know he had a dissapointing junior season from scouts views and I've seen his film on scout and it's nothing that impressive (his youtube video is better). I know for a fact that the Michigan mods feel that Teric Jones is #1 and when he gets the bulk of the carries now that his teammate graduated, he will explode onto the scene (My friend has a U of M rivals account so he tells me).

But this 09 RB crop is sick, if we can get any of those 4 guys I will be very pleased.

This is just my opinion after seeing the films. What do you guys think?

we'll get at least one of the top two (caper/baker) Caper is better than Baker...so the coaches think...and that is good enough for me.

caper's the most cfb ready and has the highest ceiling once he gets in college. He did a lot last year with an offensive line that wasn't very good. Anybody who says he's over rated is ignorant or just plain hatin (sounds like a petty michigan fan who knows they wont get him)

It just goes to show how convoluted UofM fans are. The fact that Jones couldn't even start on his highschool team last year but now he's the best RB in the state ahead of both caper and baker?

The reason the Michigan people think Jones is #1 is because he best fits THEIR offense. He's a little scat back that thrives in the DickRod spread offense ala Steve Slaton and Noel Devine.

He's not the best overall back in the state, but that has never stopped the Michigan Rivals group (who pretty much run in-state rankings) from ranking a player they were interested in over a player thatwas better but not considering Michigan.

Jones does not impress me and Jackson is clearly not as good as Caper or Baker.
I'd say:
1a) Caper
1b) Baker
2) Jackson
3) Jones

And he corrected me today. I've been reporting he has broke off a 10.60 in the 100 meters. He said he's running a 10.5 nowadays. He said I need to check back with him before I write anything about him because he's getting faster.

And it's a legit 10.5. He's a track star.

Would Baker and Caper seriously commit from the same class?

That would be awesome, but realistically I think it gives us a better chance at landing a good RB vs. laying all hopes on one.

But we certainly could use both and they would get plenty of PT.

Did the Scout article have Baker name MSU as his leader at this point?

Well first, thanks for putting together the videos, nice job on this.

Second, I think that Baker is ridiculously fast, but I also think Caper is very very good. I want them both. I actually would like Jackson as well. He isn't flashy, but he pounds the ball, and I feel like he could be our "thunder" back to either (or both) Caper/Baker's "lightning". Bottom line, I think if we got two of those three backs, I would see no reason to ever throw the ball. Put Martin in the backfield and just run the wishbone, or the flexbone, or the Wildcat.

That Baker video is sweet... man he looks awesome... if he gets into the open field he's gone.

he looks best to me, even though others have Caper rated higher... Love to get an in state kid though, so I hope Baker sticks with us.

Baker is obviously a burner...dude has some serious wheels, but I think Caper is a little better. Watching the Baker video, i didn't see him make a move once. it was just run to the corner as fast as possible until he got tackled. That's not as easy to do in College, and I think Caper is ahead of him for the simple fact that he looks more like a college RB.

A.J. Jimmerson and Javon Ringer were both top 20 RBs and they came in the same class. I haven't seen Baker play but in the video of Caper that is posted above the thing that impressed me the most is Caper's vision, and field awareness. Yes he is elusive, and a good RB, but he has that uncanny ability to find a hole where there isn't one.
