i honestly dont like our odds here flipping him but if Coach D can pull a wizard move and push the right buttons to get him to come, that would be a HUGE recruiting victory against SCum

Well it can't hurt going to an MSU Junior Day with Chris Norman, Teric Jones, and a whole bunch of other Michigan kids. I know he'll likely go to a lot of junior days and camps, but I think this is his 2nd or 3rd trip to MSU.

Thatd be great if we could switch him, but how does this kid only press 315? He's 327 pounds, I'm 170 at most and can press 310, I know hes only 17, (I'm only 20) but that number has to be wrong.

Are you also 5'6??
I'm sorry, but a 170lb guy should not be putting up 310lbs unless you're Brentwood Spartan

Hey AA,
Since you're the head recruiting guru, do you think that Dantonio feels he has a shot at flipping Cambell? Why else would he be invited to campus.

a right tackle, I cant do this. The Wolverines are in danger of a 5-7 season. And if youre a hater? Its beautiful.

Well Campbell has been to Michigan State a few times since he "committed" to Michigan last summer. I'm no insider/guru though...but I have to believe that a lot depends on how the seasons play out. He's said that he wants to see Michigan's defense and whether or not he fits in with it. A little recruiting momentum, a solid MSU season....and yeah, I think that there would be a chance. He says that he's a strong commit, but he's still planning on taking his visits. That usually means that he's not 100%.

Looks like I have a new weightlifting goal

That is a big ass dude. Talk about run stopper potential. Certainly a space eater at that size. Love to see a flip on this kid.

FWIW- In the latest T. Jones update he mentions that Campbell is recruiting him to go to Michigan.

I think Teric to UM is a foregone conclusion.
It's downright impossible for MSU to even get into Cass Tech these days.

Agree, assuming they offer him. Apparently he looked great in San Antonio, but since he didn't get that many carries last year offers may be slow.
Did MSU offer Jones?

Not according to SMag. That being said, very well could have happened had Baker not dropped so quickly.

I wonder if he would though- at first glance he doesn't seem like a great fit for Dantonio's offense.

Well, he could. Look at Andre Anderson and Caulton Ray. Both under 5'10 (closer to 5'8'' i bet) and both around 190 with good speed. There's always a spot for a guy like that. Hell, you guys took 5 of them last year!
