So as of today MD has locked up
the following top players in the state:
RB Baker "Caper may be 1a and Baker 1b"
WR Spencer
LB Norman
and probably
QB Maxwell
Also word is there is another silent out there. Hopefully the 08 class is the Antonio Smith to the 09 Cleaves.

sorry I meant that Baker and Caper are the two top backs in the state. Baker is the commit and Caper is probably going elsewhere. Its just nice to have the top RB, WR, LB, and probably QB in the state already committed.

James Jackson is the top ranked WR.

Should be 'potentially' locked up.... Baker isn't a verbal yet.

Where is the 2nd silent info coming from? I only know of the one that is assumed to be Maxwell.

Could it be the TE from GP South? Apparently he enjoyed his visit to MSU.

Someone on SpartanMag said something along the lines of now we have commits from the Top LB, Top RB, Top QB and one of the Top WR's. He then went on to say we also have one more as well.
Not sure how credible it is.

I hope these kids are for real because Saban and Pete Carroll will be coming in like vultures next February. (Crossing fingers) that they sign with MSU

The difference between a lot of programs and ours is the way Dantonio handles this all.
Two kids over the weekend got all hyped up and committed to Clemson during the visit.
Dantonio told Baker yesterday talk to your parents and make sure it is your right choice. Its not like he doesn't have choices. The kid has a UGA offer and a Texas one as well.

You forgot to mention that after the two kids committed to Clemson....they went home and said "maybe we were a little hasty" and decommitted.

Wow, we are offering both kids.
Payne also has offers from North Carolina and Michigan State, and he is expecting one from Auburn today. Jeffery also has offers from North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, Alabama and Auburn.

He still does not have an offer however he really likes MSU his dad played here in the 70s and his brother was coached by our TEs coach at Miami OH a few years back. I would say if we offer it would be hard for him to turn down.

Its still Sims and I think to pull out and concede him to in Feb. would be a huge mistake. Plus I don't think scum is going to use the TE as much as he would like to be used.

Why do we seem like the only school with silent commits every year?

This comment scares me:
“That’s the place I want to be,” Payne said at the time. By Saturday afternoon, that feeling had changed. Payne and Jeffery attended Clemson’s junior day and committed to the Tigers before leaving campus.
“The community is not too big, and I can stay out of trouble and get my degree,” Payne said Saturday afternoon.
