Andrus went to MSU's recent (Feb 23rd) Junior Day. Also visited Indiana. Will be heading to Cincy for one of their junior days as well as visiting Michigan.

Andrus mentions MSU as being on his "short-list" for teams. We can take all the LB's we can get at this point, and I like kids who want to be

his rivals profile has him at 6-4 231...would like to see the speed #'s but that is impressive size for a kid still in HS

heard that Andrus was timed in the 40 at a scout camp at 4.79. Not bad for an LB.

Could end up as a DE with that size too.

6'2" isn't exactly your ideal DE height

It still isn't ideal, but I don't think this staff looks at ideal. They look for football players and guys who fit their schemes. Not future NFL top draft picks per say.

Exactly, Elvis Dumervill from Lousiville was only 5'11 and tore it up in college.
St. Dic was only 6'1.
It's fine for college, like having 6'8 PF in college Bball.

As others have pointed out, 6'2" is tall enough to play DE.
And Rivals thinks he's 6'4", as also has been pointed out.
If he's taller than that, make him an OT.

Andrus is 6'4" and weighs 237. Runs a 4.7 forty. Good athlete.

Spartan Prospect Breaks Out in Columbus
|
| | By Joe Torok
Associate Editor
Date: May 16, 2008
"I proved to myself that I could play defensive end if I needed to," he says of the recent camp at Ohio State. "But it also proved to me that I can play linebacker if needed because of my pursuit in the drills — it was all about pursuit and pass coverage."
