Scout.com rankings
I don't know if anyone has posted this, but this deserves it's own thread. Edwin Baker is #2 running back in the nation and 5 star. Larry Caper is #7 running back in the nation and 4 star. Chris Norman is #5 linebacker in the nation and 4 star. Dion Sims is #1 TE in the nation and 4 star. Donald Spencer and Andrew Maxwell have yet to be ranked, but I expect high ranks for both of them as well.

Oh well we all know that Scout rankings suck for football

Well, they sucked when they ranked us #47 last year. Seriously though, I'll probably wait to see what Rivals ranks our guys. They seem better.

all have committed except Sims. But come on this information is readily accessible all over this forum and at the very top of the page you can find threads containing lists of 2009 offers and 2009 commits among other things.

Gotta agree with Big M, there is some serious hypocrasy going on here. I could give a **** less about where these guys are ranked. Look at their offers and look at when MD offered them. MSU getting plan A's (this early) with the kind of offers that they have is unprecedented and that alone proves their worth, not a ranking or the stars next to their name.

Scout and Rivals are rarely VASTLY different, Scout might rank one guy #9 and Rivals rank him #4, and I'd tend to believe he's closer to #4 than #9, but I doubt Scout will rank a guy #2, and Rivals #12, I think Rivals will be close enough to Scout so that both will still be top 10, and I think that Baker will still be top 5 on Rivals.
This IS their job, one would think they would be at least in the ballpark most of the time.
