Didn't Hondo also have an interview with D. Guy last year? In that interview he stated he was coming to State and how happy he was. Now this may be true but until a more credible source says so I do not believe it and refuse to believe it until that other source proves Hondo right.

ok, so was Dion Guy even a big deal? why does everyone always bring it up...the kid was like a 2 star 5.2 guy or somethin like that..........barrent is borderline top 100

I believe it. There is a huge difference between the Dion Guy situation and this one. All the Rivals people have been trying to follow up with the family and that's the only reason that they haven't announced this yet. I didn't believe the Dion Guy situation last year but I believe this one. Too much smoke.

I agree but the point was not about missing out on Guy it was about a sounce that reported him verballing. The whole point of bringing up Guy is to point out Hondo has been wrong before.

I don't think it's relevant if Dion Guy was a big time recruit, I think the point of the last post was to say there have been times when Hondo's thrown something out there that's turned out to not be true (you'll notice that Izzo is still the basketball coach)
I personally agree that I'd like to see something from the coaching staff or Spartanmag that corroborates what Hondo's putting out there.

His rating wasn't the issue. It wasn't because everyone really wanted him and it wasn't true. It was that he said that he was committing when no one else thought that he even had an offer.
