Offered on Monday. Got to tour the school. Likes the facility upgrades. Now has offers from 5 Big Ten schools. Wants to decide before senior year.

Rivals - Offer #6 for David Barrent $
Likes the campus. Really liked the engineering program and coaches. Still finalizing camp schedule for the summer. Will decide what other camps besides Iowa and Iowa State based on his school interest level.

Iowa football needed a good bail bond guy and one less trainer last year. That bad press is causing a lot of players like this guy to take a serious look at MSU and other Big Ten schools. 2 years ago Ferentz would have had him hook line and sinker with no other visits.
I think they will be less likely to go rushing into Detroit in the near future.

Does not sound like an "Iowa lock" to me. Would be a huge get for us (literally and figuratively). Seems like one of those kids that could be persuaded to MSU if we had a 8 win season + decent bowl game.
