ND however is another issue. He is a Catholic so the affiliation with ND is there naturally. Also some of his family have ties there.

We are not a lock to get this kid. It is going to have to be done on the field with Max. If we can knock the living daylights out of ND and they have another subpar year, we should be the leader.
msu is more of a lock than nd is at this point.

His uncle is former Spartan great Bobby Morse, whose father was captain of ND in the '50's (and also has a Gulfstream jet) How's that for a football bloodline?

Seems every Bullough family male has a very high football IQ along with classroom smarts.

There are players in the class of 2009, that are considered very good, with offers from Michigan, that want to play here, that Dantonio hasn't offered yet.

Dantonio has given a SOPHOMORE a scholarship offer,
His Grandpa played on a national championship team
His Dad and Uncle were both VERY good players for us
His mom's side of the family has a Notre Dame Captain on it, as well as a few other players.
You tell me how good he is.

He has film on Rivals, what stands out to me the most is his field vision, he picks apart all the offensive plays and destroys the ball carrier.

Just reread a bit from "They Are Spartans", it was talking about Chuck:

"Green Genes: With a name like Bullough, you better play for Michigan State and you better play well"

I have a feeling this kid will be #1 on our 2010 recruiting board. His ties to MSU are great, he has a couple with Notre Dame as well....so that's what worries me. Would be a huge way to start this class.

Agreed! Norman will be a Soph and Jones a Senior...what an LB corps...let alone whom else we recruit and how well the 2008 class develops.

Of course, we need to get him to EL first.

he won't bump Gordon as a senior, unless Jones goes pro.

Eric Gordon will start as a senior no matter what.

btw, i know this guy is the second coming of LT and all, but he's only 16. A little premature, eh?

How is he tied to ND? Pardon my ignorance. I always thought the Bulloughs were solid green & white folks.

Hank Bullough played with my cousin on the 1954 Rose Bowl Champs team.

His mother's father....Also his mother is the sister of Bobby Morse. His grandfather was a Notre Dame all american and huge donor. The kind of donor that has lunch with Weis.

Is that the same sister who was a cheerleader at MSU and who met her brother in the end zone after Bobby returned a punt 84 yards for a TD in AA back in 1984?

Does he have to wear some type of protective equipment? I think most would donate more if they were promised to never have to go through an experience as traumatic as that.

Hank has to be one of the most solid individuals I have ever met. Probably one of my favorite regulars when I bartended (at that time he only drank Diet Coke), it was always awesome to listen to him talk about the game.

Man I hope we get this guy next year. Basically states how it would be hard to go somewhere other than MSU or Notre Dame. I love how in his film he's only a sophomore. This guy has great size, speed, strength, smarts, and instincts already. He has future captain written all over him to me.
