He has a lot of family ties to ND as well.
I suspect it will be an ND/MSU battle.

I like the fact that is not only planning for next season but the future. This kid must truly be special to get on offer as a soph but one things for certain, he has the football pedigree.

I love this ****! Just get out there and dominate the recruiting map! My man Dantonio is just getting after it while the new Michigan coaches look like they've been hit with about 6 punches before even getting a breath in the opening round.

Getting an offer to the kid isn't dominating the recruiting map. Certainly helps we are his first offer and U of M will not be a factor for the kid. Even if they offer, which they probably will. No wizard hat or snake oil will get them to a Bullough.
ND however is another issue. He is a Catholic so the affiliation with ND is there naturally. Also some of his family have ties there.
We are not a lock to get this kid. It is going to have to be done on the field with Max. If we can knock the living daylights out of ND and they have another subpar year, we should be the leader.

Can somebody give me this kid's Spartan and Notre Dame family tree, and who on that tree played for which teams, when they did, and how good they were?
EDIT: So His Grandpa played on the '52 championship team, Dantonio's obsession with tradition is good here.

This is the only article I found that gives some sort of insight as to which members played for MSU. His grandpa, uncle and father all played here. His mothers side is where the ND ties are at.
Also his uncle coaches at UCLA.

I understand that, I'm not stupid. But we are getting to kids early and often and it is paying off.

Is this Shane Bullough's son? I believe Shane was Chuck's older brother. Both played LB at MSU Chuck set records for tackles but I always thought Shane amy have been better all around. Shane was Academic All-American. I think grandpa hank was All-America as well as being national Champ.
He would be a great way to start the class of 2010!

His Grandpa attended the Rivals 5 Star Camp on Sunday with Max and his Dad Shane . . . I happened to be passing through the hallway as the three of them stopped to look at a picture of the 52 team on a wall in the Hall of Fame. Spartan Spirit is alive and well in that family!!

I would be surprised if this kid is not a Spartan...the ties are too deep. Kinda like the Millers are for hockey.

yeah...let's compare them. Let's compare one football player (One who didn't follow the program at all after he stopped playing, and even got in some trouble with the law) to the Miller's. Hell, let's compare the Ingram's to the Thornhill's while we are at it!

There's no need to get all pissed. His ties are deeper than Ingram's and that's all I said.

I saw Max Bullough play last fall. He is a very good player and fits the mold of his Granfather, uncle, and dad. Hank was a great player and coach at MSU and in the NFL. Max will be a great addition to the MSU program and I will just love sitting in my seat I have had the last 38 years in Spartan Stadium and watching, cheering, and enjoying the new Bullough.
