Did his teamate Leon Hill come up for the 5 star academy too ? That would be a very nice steal if we could get both of these guys away from Illinois...

I didn't hear anything about him being there, but I sure hope he was. I know both had an interest in MSU before their commitments, they would be a huge addition to us.

He has an AMP interview on Rivals. The kid sounds awfully shaky in his "solid commitment". I encourage all of you who have rivals accounts to check it out....

Those two would be UNBELIEVABLY huge toward what we are building. We've picked up some great skill players in-state, and a few pretty good ones in the 2008 class too. But we haven't landed a ton of highly touted out of state players yet under MD, linemen no less.

These two would be Dantonio's two biggest commitments thus far, IMO. I don't even know if there is a question about that.

With that said, I don't see it happening.

Catholic is a pretty good insider, he has info into the Duff.

Also a more direct source to Lendell comes from his facebook. His status is, "Down to MSU and ILL, who should I pick".

He committed to Illinois very early. MSU has recruited him just as hard over the time period. This comes from his own mouth.

They had a 5 star academy in Chicago and he chose to come to the one up here and visit afterwards.

Supposedly he had a very good time and that got him thinking. He is either sticking to his verbal or coming here. So pretty much a soft verbal.

I don't expect him to flip and no one should, but we are putting in a helluva fight.

This kid looks like a stud and I'd absolutely love to have him. He'd be a beast in our defensive system and he'd play right away.

I'm not so sure about that. Remember that there are some very good players in Wheat, Wilson, Jeremiah, and Pickelman already on the team with Worthy coming in the fall. With that much depth ahead of him, I would be shocked if he DIDN"T redshirt.

Crazy times we live in... Facebook has become a key source for insider recruiting information.

Scout - MSU a Genuine Possibility for 4-Star DT? $

Says MSU in Top 2 or 3. Good friends with Arthur Ray. Plans to come back on an official visit as well as more unofficials.

Also says that Leon Hill is looking at MSU too.

This stuff really is amazing. The overall change in the program is incredible. Dantonio is making such a difference. Even if MSU doesn't land these kids, the fact that so many top prospects are considering MSU is great and really makes the future promising.

This is awesome. Character and values. The way MD has treated Arthur Ray has been right on and purely coincidently could help us land these guys. Integrity works best in long run and brings the better players than slick salesmen.

You are so right. I would love to see values like integrity, honor, selflessness come back in this country.

I'm a firm believer in good things happening to good people. Sure there are moments when things don't look this way, but in the long run...it always works out.
