From TheWolverine...talks about visiting UM for their one day camp this weekend. No leaders and no timetable for a decision. Will camp at OSU and visit MSU.

He's looking to wait a bit to make his decision and if that happens, OSU could very well be booked up in the defensive backfield. I feel better about Hunter than McDougal, but if a couple guys like this fall into our lap...I will be ecstatic. Hell, if we get just one I'll be very happy.

Well we should all feel good about Hunter. Supposedly he doesn't even have an offer anymore. To many guys filled up.

As far as McDougald, I don't think he waits a long time and even if he does they really like him at WR as well.

So he could essentially get a chance at WR as well.

Yeah, I'm aware that he doesn't have one anymore.

Per a Buckeye friend, they're taking two more and he expects the class to look like: Barnett, Clarke, McGee, Emelien, Wood, & Brown. He seems to feel McDougal is looking to stretch things out, not quite sure where you get other feelings from. Haven't heard anything about him being at WR, I thought that it was Wisconsin who wanted him at WR.

OSU likes him as an ATH supposedly (Although that just came from a good not great source, so could be off). However so many Buckeyes have different opinions on how many they will take. Some have told me 10 and others have said 6. I hope McDougald falls thru but he does seem open to U of M.

I mean if they take 10 I can see them taking him, however if they take 6 not so likely.

I am sure McDougald wants a UM offer...you always want the offer.

If he feels better at Um than MSU, he needs to go there. Such a different vibe now, it should be night and day.

Just read his whole player thread on BP again and a few things jump out. OSU wants him at safety; if he really wants CB, that might cause him to cool on OSU. He might wait until after his HS season; if he does, no way does OSU have room left (hell, they might not have room after June). He also mentions two schools in his last update: he's camping at OSU (this week), but he wants to visit MSU again; this would suggest that if he cools on OSU or they run out of room, we should be in good shape here.

All in all, we'll know by the end of the week. He'll either commit to OSU or they'll run out of room.

We will learn a lot by the end of June on many recruits. Seems really early this year.

I'm getting more and more confident about landing McDougald. It seems to be us and OSU and the way things are looking for the Buckeyes, they won't have room. I think the fact that he wants to visit "again" tells us that he enjoyed the first trip enough to take another look. It's like buying a car or house, you don't go back unless you are serious.

McDougald and Hunter at corner? 2 Four Star corners coming in? Can't tell you enough how excited I'd be and we'd know then that the Dantonio era could become special.

The square is seldom if ever cool ... He is "not with it", that is, he doesn't know "whats happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." And if he can bring himself to approve of what's happening, he becomes "groovy." And after that, with much luck and perseverence, he can rise to the rank of "cool."

Except for when the limit is meaningless: the limit is 25 and OSU insiders insist they're taking 27 or 28.

I think its safe to say that the Dantonio era is already special considering we have 6 four star recruits and a guy that should be a four star and is a really high three.

or it could be the 70's and 80's again where you could take as many kids as you wanted.

That is what I was referring too

By Bill "Bank" Greene...McDougald does not think he will issue a verbal this weekend at OSU camp. OSU is one of his leaders and does not have a timeframe for his decision.

I mentioned it in the recruiting discussion thread, but EJ Banks, a DB from PA, has OSU in his top two, won't decide for awhile, but says OSU is holding a scholarship for him. Add Banks to Brandon McGee & Vlad Emilien (DBs from FLA who OSU is most definitely holding scholarships for; McGee will take awhile while Emilien will commit when he visits in early July), plus the three DBs aleady committed to OSU, and the two expected commitments this weekend from Corey Brown & Justin Green, and that's EIGHT defensive backs. Have to doubt OSU will take McDougald as #9 just for fun.

I agree.

You have to read between the lines with this. McDougald doesnt expect to verbal on his visit, but that actually may not be his decision to make.
