So, which uncommitted recruits will be at our spring game?
Anybody have any names?

James Jackson was reportedly going to check out MSU for the G & W game on the 19th. I also believe Cameron Gordon will be here as well.

Wow, that would be fantastic. I like the presence of Jackson, maybe pushing Gordon to commit. I'm willing to bet that MSU would honor both offers if both of them decided to commit though. I know it looks as if we're just taking one more WR, but I think they would make a change if 4.3 Jackson wanted to wear green.
Can you imagine the buzz if two of final 3 remaining Top 10 uncommitted state of Michigan players chose the Spartans? Talk about a green frenzy! Not banking on it, but when a player chooses to go to your Spring Game, I think that says something.

For the last time Jackson is not going to be a Spartan. You can hold out hopes and be disappointed when he goes to U of M or OSU but he doesn't want to stay in Lansing.
I don't think the visitor list will be that big. As far as household names. I am sure guys like Clemons, Gordon, McCord, and other instate players will be there. But OSU is having their spring game the same day and I expect guys like Muldoon and others to be there.

I bet Fragel is there after his visit by MD. A Gordon/Fragel dual commit that weekend would be awesome.

Insanely awesome.
I thought his visit with MD was going to be after the spring game though, no?

Correct. Jackson was quoted as saying he will be at MSU's spring game, but I would not be surprised if he ended up at OSU's. I would expect a few of the big name Michigan prospects left on the board to be in attendance, but I would be shocked if any of the Ohio kids come to our game instead of OSU's.

Heres the problem:
UM spring game - april 12th
NW spring game - april 26th
All other Big Ten schools - april 19th.
We need to move it a week earlier or later

Good point . . . I dunno why 49er TOTALLY discounts Jackson's interest in MSU. Maybe he should call to stop him to stop wasting his time.

I would bet my savings account that he does not come to MSU.

Then why not take his bio off the site?

He shouldn't stop wasting his time.
But if you think we have a great shot to pull of James Jackson then you will be disappointed.
He wants to get out of Lansing, plain and simple really.

Great shot? No, but definitely an outside shot. Its still very early in the process, if he takes all of his officials, he might decide that he actually wants to go to MSU after all. Remember, at one point not too long ago, Edwin Baker wanted nothing more than to get out of the state and into SEC territory.

I never said I thought we had a GREAT shot . . . i was just trying to counter your "no way in h---" attitude. It sure seems odd for someone who wants to get out of Lansing so bad to trip to EL on the 19th rather than enjoy one of the other 8 big ten spring games being held that day.
Its still VERY early. I'd hesitate before proclaiming this over in APRIL of his junior year.

I think that if/when Cameron Gordon commits, we're pretty much done at WR regardless.

Agreed there is a slim possibility that we could end up with Jackson but like AASpartan said, we are looking real good with Cam Gordon and if/when he drops, we will be done at WR with the limited schollies we have to hand out. I think Jackson has been to MSU on a couple unofficials because he is doing his homework like any recruit should. In the end, I can't imagine a scenario where he ends up in the green and white, but of course there is a chance.

Agree and I hope Gordon commits soon. I'd love to have QB, RB and WR locked up before May.

Maybe my comments were a bit to harsh definitely.
But like others have said when Gordon drops we are done at WR.
I know some will say well he is to good of a talent to back off. But we have limited scholarships and Dantonio has provided proof that he doesn't like to overbook scholarships.
We could have had Darks easily last year but Dantonio didn't want to overbook at one position.

Yep. People have to understand that's not the way it works when you have limited schollies. Just cause the kid has four stars next to his name dosen't mean we take him over a player that can fill a need.

Agree.
If Gordon commits, we'll be done with WR, RB and QB.
Time to turn the focus on TE, OT, OG, C, DT, Safety, etc.
