Id be real happy with that...obviously..The only long shots i see are the Two Illinois verbals and Hunter, but I wouldnt put anything past Coach D now that he has proven he can bring in quality recruits

For some reason I don't really think they are long shots. The other Illinois verbal already took off, and these 2 have seious interest. I would be more surprised if we landed Sims.

You could substitute either of the Illinois guys in there, but they seem to look a lot less likely at this point, at least they have been awfully quiet. I like our chances with Cam Gordon, as scUM likes him at LB, but he wants to play WR. However, we are only going to get 1 more at WR, and I would be fine with Fowler or Underwood in Gordon's place. I think that if Dion Sims decides to be a football first basketball player ala Trannon, he comes to MSU. However, that is still up in the air. I hope that he comes to his senses, but SLack sounds like a good alternative. Obviously, being a wish list, the OL guys are a best case scenario. I think we get Klatt, but the other two OH guys are not as probable. Longo is a stud, and I'd love to get him though. I am at a loss on the DL still. There is the Hyder kid from TX, but the coaching staff didn't seem that high on him because of speed issues. Treadwell will be a beast on the interior, so I would look at a DE, and France looks to be the guy at this point, unless Vushaj blows up like 49ers thinks me might. We have several options at LB too, but Gainer is gonna blow up, and I hope that we get him before he sees greener pastures. DJ Hunter is the biggest question mark on the list, as he hasn't mentioned us in awhile, and there doesn't appear to be a big push for him. Maybe they were waiting on MacDougald, and now that he is a Buckeye, we can swoop in. If not, Chris WIlliams may be another probable target, or Kenny Watkins.

So there are all 17 in my eyes at this point, maybe we take 1 or 2 more. Let's hope for a pleasant surprise or 2...

I just don't see us taking 4 OL and then only taking 2 DL.

I would like to take 4 OL if we have more offers than we originally had thought.

I do, we are thin at OL and some of the bodies we have there are converted DL players.

I think we must take at least 4 OL -- Treadwell's future (where he ends up playing) will be a huge factor. If he does go to the DL, than it will definitely be 4 OL

Koehne seems to have tackle measurables (despite being listed as a guard on rivals) and is seen playing both tackle spots in his film.

he was recently offered and it looks like hes a guy the staff will prioritize.

I agree we need more tackles. Imperticular a solid left tackle prospect.

I agree with everything except Cam Gordon at WR. I think the WR commitment will come from someone off the radar right now or not being hyped as much.

Maybe a guy like Bryan Underwood.

I have no idea why everyones so down on cam and doesnt think he'll eventually come here.

I dont think underwood really fits our offense very well with his size. Its possible liked him more as a corner and pat white ran his spot.

Well in this scenario taking his time is more than a so what.

We have one slot left and we won't save him a spot.

His comments aren't extremely high on Michigan State and we will see what happens.

I don't think Howard is an option, unless we miss on a lot of guys. I am not even sure if we could get him in with MSU's high JUCO admission standards.

This is my list of what I consider likely. Personally I like the idea of taking White and Fowler as Athletes and just let them figure out which posisiton they can handle. It would be a nice battle for WR and personally I think with his speed Fowler would compliment Spencer very well. Something about Gordon scares me. The 10th best person in the state yet barely any offers? I don't know. I am just uneasy, but MD offered early, and I trust his judgement. With that said, can't teach true speed so I would love to have Fowler.

The O-Line class this year seems pretty strong, and we might as well get as many good prospects as we can. I really want Thorton, and I think Koehne is not a reach either. Can never have too many good linemen.

As for Hammock, he is the best inside Linebacker on the board for us right now IMO, but will always be refered to as the "other LB" in this class. I would really like to lock him up as a great compliment to Norman.

Vushaj will get a look at TE, but I would rather have him as a DE. Quite frankly, I feel that we are thin in the DE department, and would love to get three solid DE recruits in there. If we can pick up stud TE like Sims or Hageman then we could slide Vushaj to DE, but neither of those seems likely at this moment so I guess you have to slot Vushaj as the TE.

I think we have a real good chance on France, which is why I put him over Custis. I just think Custis is awaiting a ND offer, and if he doesn't get it will look to Boston College. Although we are in his top 5 and stranger things have happened.

This would put us at 17 and we could wait for Sims to commit, or see if Buckner and/or Hill flips. Out of the two it seems like Buckner is the most likely to switch, but if either or both decide to flip, you simply make room for them.

so saying "I like msu a lot" doesnt register as an extremly high comment?

I've never thought howard was a really a legit possibility, its more then likely between fowler and gordon and neither seems to be in a rush to commit.
