Article about the offer he received. He got it after going to 7 on 7 passing league at MSU. The offer is for TE though, not DE.
Im kinda surprised he didn't commit on the spot as he's been telling everyone that he's going to MSU. I think maybe the offer for TE caught him off guard as he thought he would be a DE. But expect a commitment from him within the next couple weeks I'm guessing.

So is this the end of our interest in Dion Sims? With so few scholarships available, it's very unlikely that they'd take two TEs in the class.

They could put Vushaj at DE if we get Sims.

IF his #'s (size, speed) are true and he has at least decent hands, he could have quite a career at MSU

It's consistent with MO to not request/want a commitment from the recruit without taking time to make sure the kid wants to come here.

I just realized who it was you got this info from. RonMexico17 right? Yea I was on the same football team with him and Edison's brother. They are all in my grade. You can trust him on his info, he's good friends with Elvis (Edison's brother). RM is a diehard Michigan fan, but very trustworthy with this info.

I think his stats are pretty accurate. The 40 might be a little off, but I'm not sure. (we ran the 40s in a hallway of the school and they are hand timed). But I remember as a freshman he had really good hands so I assume they are just as good if not better now.

Yeah I did. I have come to respect Ron and I know he wouldn't BS with this stuff, thus the reason I posted.
I can stand him unlike many Michigan fans.

it's funny how you to refer to him like his names actually ron when in fact his schtick is based on a porn star name that michael Vick used at an STD clinic.

Yea, i play street hockey with Brent. Don't really like the kid, but my brother is better friends with him then I am.
Also, to the posters that might have taken my information, in a sense that Ed has academic problems. I acutally meant, his grades are in good shape, and he is working extremly hard to keep them at their current level. Ed's commit should be announced soon, as it almost sounds like this is his dream. However, I dont think this puts out of the race for Sims, as Vushaj can play DE just as efficiently as TE.

Definatley. We need guys like that, you know they will go all out 100% of the time. This guy sounds like a KFD type player, maybe a better DE then KFD but not quite as good a TE. I'd love to see another two way player like that.

BEAST!
Those are some good numbers, and he can really move for a big guy. Looks like he will be a good pickup for DE or TE. Even if moved to TE he could still be a KFD type player who sees action on passing downs.

Take "a little longer" for what you will.

Scout $ - Vushaj's Heart Says MSU, But His Verbal Waits
Premium friendly:
"Under publicized Walled Lake Central prospect has talent galore and a Michigan State offer, but despite his love for the school, is holding off on making a verbal commitment."

Scout... . It is all in the details. He is from Walled Lake Western, not Central. Not a big deal, but I went to Central.
Scout has it correct in his profile however.

And on his jersey in the picture in huge letters it says WESTERN. Mike Fowler is an idiot.

This kid must have some grade issues. There is no way he waits on an MSU offer otherwise. Especially if he is going to be playing TE.
Otherwise, if Sims has a change of heart, or if we decide to offer Slack, Ed will be SOL. I really like the Slack kid.
