He needs to accept the offer to his dream school and let the coaches decide where he will make the most of his career. They aren't going to put him somewhere where he'd be less successful. They are the experts on this and they'll set him up for success.

Accept the offer kid, you love MSU and we'll love you if you work your tail off and help us win games.

No offense but we should love our players win or lose

no offense, but he doesn't need to do anything.

This is a huge decision in this kids life, if he wants to wait 3 months I'm fine with it. He is choosing his destination for 4 years of his life. Just because it is your dream school does not mean it is the right school for you

Well, I get that it is a huge decision. At the same time, if MSU is his dream school and the MSU coaches like the kid enough to want him to be one of our 18 commitments...then I don't get why you'd wait. If it is about position, he needs to trust the coaches.

If that's my dream school and they don't have much room, I'm not waiting. If we had 25 schollies that would be different.

He has a huge decision to make and he should take all the time he really needs. However, just like anything in life, if he takes too long he may miss out on a great opportunity.

Just out of curiousity, why haven't schools like CMU and WMU offered this kid? Not saying he isn't a stud (he is), I just find it a bit odd that NOBODY else has offered before a bigger fish like MSU.

I'm still not completely sold the msu offer is 100% legit. It's more then likely a conditional offer promissed him if he can get his grades up after his first marking period or something like that.

he is coming to camp again this week to talk to the coaches. Could commit then. I remember an article said his family wanted him to commit immediately but he wanted to wait a bit (which I believe was his coaches opinion?)

maybe it is a position question or grades. who knows.

I just get a funny feeling about this whole thing. It doesn't all add up to me. Too much that doesn't make sense.

Maybe we should ask Hondo to interview him and his mom?

Pretty interesting quotes here from July 3rd:

Country Day's Fowler among state's rising stars

Edison Vushaj, DE, Walled Lake Western, 6-5/225/4.63: In his third year as a varsity player last season, Vushaj collected 76 tackles, seven sacks and two interceptions. With little buzz surrounding him heading into spring, he hoped to use camps and combines to prove his worth. Michigan State is among those that have been convinced.
"I went to their passing tournament (June 21) and they pulled me aside and I ran some drills," Vushaj said. "They said they liked how I caught the ball, how I ran, and how I blocked.
"They're my No. 1 pick. I went to other colleges and they don't compare. They're just that much better. The coaches have plans for everything and they know what they're talking about. Location wise, they're prefect for me and I think the team has a lot of potential." Rating: Holding at No. 30.

Poor Ed. Unless the staff takes him as a DE I think he just missed his boat on a scholarship to MSU.

Poster on Spartanmag found this. Pretty interesting

Quote:
Walled Lake Western's Edison Vushaj is a Warrior in the truest sense of the word, playing both middle linebacker and tight end (No. 5 above center). He is looking to make his senior year of football his best ever before heading off to Michigan State University next fall to play for the Spartans. (Spinal Column Newsweekly photo/Amy K. Lockard)
Quote:
Eventually, Edison was won over by Mark Dantonio and his staff at Michigan State. When in East Lansing, Edison is set to play mostly at the tight end position.
