If you just simply sit and listen and do "some" work, you'll pass. You fail and you aren't doing anything. That type of player will always be a concern on the academic front. It isn't worth the risk unless the kid is a 4-5 star Top 250 prospect IMO. I wish the kid well, but I don't think he is for us.

Im pretty sure he has some learning disabilities, can't fault the kid for that. He just needs tutors to help him, which is what he would get if he came to MSU.

I have been reading this topic since it started and I thought I could help give some assurance as to what the situation is with Ed and State. I am involved with his high-school team this year and have already talked to Z and him as well, I think everything has been cleared up but I thought I would put somethin up here since it seems a little twisted.
First, Edison is taking the summer online course as I saw thats been published which will help his case if he does well in it and gets everything submitted.
Secondly, when he was offered the package or whatever you want to call it, he immediately stated thats where he wants to go, thats it, done deal(To MSU of course). If any other school were to become #1 on his list I would be suprised.
Lastly, as long as he gets his academics straight which I am 99% sure he will because he has been working hard to get it right and Coach has been on him HARD, he will be at State next year under a type of condition where he WILL NOT play his freshman year but will still train and workout with the team (probably to show he can perform in the classroom) and then probably receive his full ride for the last 3 or 4 years he is there, something along those lines.
If its already been written, apologize, but thats the facts and thats whats going on.

I don't care if he's caught more passes than any other MSU wr. He isn't in the same league as Charles Rogers, Plaxico Burress, Andre Rison, Courtney Hawkins, Derrick Mason, Kirk Gibson, Mushin Muhammad, etc. etc. etc. And don't flippin link me that News/Freep Top 10 list that had him in there. You spit on the names of our great receivers by comparing Trannon to any of them.

way to be a friggin turd. I'm not saying he's as talented as any of the wr's you mentioned. I'm merely stating the fact that during his career he caught more passes then every single one of them.
He worked hard for four years here (not counting the year he sat out) he was productive on the football field and basketball court and what the hell right do you have to spit on him?

Article on front page of today's Oakland Press sports section:
The Oakland Press: Sports
Vushaj is quoted as saying his commitment is not official yet to MSU, but "It's a formality that it will be State,"
Sounds pretty good.

hmmm.... how does the new news about the Clemson TE transfer affect Vushaj's offer/committment?

though
Although Vushaj was offered as a TE, he may come in as a DE. Coach Dantonio likes versatile players who may be able to contribute @ different positions.

Does anyone know how Vushaj is doing this year? Grades? Gained any weight/strength? I'd really like Dantonio to take 1 - 2 more Defensive Linemen this year but his size concerns me a bit.

Season stats:
12 carries for 146 yards and a TD
9 receptions for 109 yards and a TD
4/9 Passing and a TD
24 solo tackles, 1 assist, 4 sacks and a fumble recovery
the team is 3-2 and has had some poor defensive games.
Seems like they rotate Edison all over the field offensively. Defensively he leads the team in every category I believe. As for grades, I have no idea.

so hes a DE/TE prospect...
averaging 12 yards per carry, 12 yards per catch, can play quarterback and has almost entirely solo tackles

Some bad news on Ed. So, this week was the week of Central vs. Western. Over the past years, Western has vandalized Central's new field. So, central this year vandalized their field with a huge graphic on their field. The result was a soccer player and football player getting kicked off their team. So, Western wanted to get even, turns out, Ed Vushaj took the practice dummies and threw them into the woods. Eventually, he got turned in by someone, and got kicked off the team. Rumor has it, his offer has been pulled.
