Yes sir! Things are looking great for us landing Gholston and that would be a great way to start of the 2010 recruiting season. Just like Norman and Baker, you get a couple of big names early and it snowballs.

Bill Kurelic has a new article on William and he refused to rule out a commitment this weekend on his visit to EL.

A birdie told me our coaching staff is not sure he'll commit this weekend, but there's a decent chance it will happen...

The square is seldom if ever cool ... He is "not with it", that is, he doesn't know "whats happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." And if he can bring himself to approve of what's happening, he becomes "groovy." And after that, with much luck and perseverence, he can rise to the rank of "cool."

Typically, if a recruit commits on a weekend visit, we don't find out until Monday, or very late Sunday night at the earliest.

Let's worry about our '09 recruits formally recruiting before our '10.

Well that is what a lot said about Chris Norman, when Paul said the commit would be huge.

Everyone wanted a three star from last years class instead and then found out how good he really was.

One of the other recruits was the other big will and he was probably just there to see a nationally televised game.I have the feeling he does not like MSU at all.He just seems like an obnoxious punk who will diss us and stay with the gayze of blue and maize

WCampbell has to be the worst kept secret in recruiting. Does he really think that he is fooling anyone. I cant believe these coaches are wasting scholarship visits on this guy. You know he is going to be at scUM next year. At this time he has no intention of going anywhere but there, what a waste of time on this guy. Especially seeing the quotes of Dior Mathis. Just reminds me a bit of the Robert Traylor recruiting scenario, kept everyone waiting til the last day and then pretended to struggle with his decision but ultimately went where his "heart" was. What irritated me is that Izzo kept the scholly open until the last day and kept recruiting him up to that point. Izzo is such a good guy and its irritating to see these fake punks drag it out like that. I know its bball, but just reminds me a bit of that time.

If he did commit to MSU you would do a complete 180 and love the guy. And you know you would.

Lets give Gholston the attention in this thread, he deserves it and he loves State. And we obviously will become huge fans of his if he commits.

I think there is minimal chance of that happening--yes ultimately if a kid does come here- he becomes one of us, a Spartan, and of course I would cheer him on.
In this case, I think this is a fake showing. Especially if he recruits for scUM while on these trips.

I will give you your point though. Go Green!

DrTre: correct, this is Gholstons thread and my apologies if we diverted a bit.

im sure thats why he re-opened his recruiting AFTER he already committed... im sure he loves the annoyances that come with recruiting right?..

WIlliam Campbell will go to either Miami or most likely become the third straight #1 player in the state to go to USC. He has already set up official visits with the two (as well as LSU). Its hard for MSU to compete with hollywood or south beach. Lets be honest we'd all love to spend 4-5 years in either one of those places.
