Same, but again...I'll emphasize Spiker has better offers and he might be higher up on the staff's wish list.

I'm still confident he'll end up at MSU. It looks like he wants to stay in the Big Ten, and lets face it, NW's got a fairly low ceiling due to their academic restrictions, and unless Indiana has a coach die every year, they're not going anywhere. They're getting some good prospects, but if this is their best recruiting year ever thats just sad. Everybody trashed our 2008 class, and that class will be better than this year's Indiana class. They're a basketball school first, and if they say otherwise, they're just kidding themselves. They won't have Michigan and Ohio State off their schedule every year to help them get into a bowl game.

I believe this kid ends up a Spartan because MSU can get to that OSU level and we've got a former Buckeye making it happen. His #1 choice probably was OSU, but we can be very close to the same thing for him. We are a major university in the BT and we've got the facilities, the coach, the resources, and now starting to get the talent that would land us in a near OSU situation. If OSU can be a football school and make major waves to become a basketball power too, we can do the same just vice versa. I know I sound like a broken record but the situation just seems too perfect for him.

This has probably already been posted, but Klatt has a 4.0 GPA??!!!??
Admittedly I'm no FB expert, but in IMO the two positions with intelligence should be the center and QB. All the rest of the guys can be rocks with ability. Just emphasizes how I'd reeeeeeeally like to see him in green/white.

old saying -- the smartest people should line up next to the ball, they causually get less smart as you move away from the ball.
Hence TO and Chad Johnson are wide receivers

Longo picked up an OSU offer yesterday. You can almost say for fact now that Klatt will not get his OSU offer

They are telling me to make a couple more pitchers of green kool-aid and start downing em because after all these years, Spartan football is becoming a power again.

I'm not going to dance around it and worry about what other fans will think. I believe we have finally found our leader and I'm ecstatic about where we are going. Call that homerism, call it cornbread...the future is going to be special and I'll stand by that.

Yea, I think that is optimism at its best.
Being a long time Lions and Spartan football fan, I think I'll wait until we see what the product on the field brings out, rather than proclaim a winning season in 4 years by success in recruiting a bunch of players with media created 'stars', who are not yet even Seniors in HS.
That said, I am hoping things are turning around.

Late today, or tomorrow, but I think by your posting and closeness to the program, we already know its Klatt!

Don't quote me on that, I'm just hearing some good things. Doesn't mean it is set in stone. Thornton is a possibility.

No Thornton is not a possibility at this stage. Not saying he isn't coming but he plans on waiting out the process.
It should be official in about a day or so.
