The idea of 6-5 Jeremiah, 6-4 Wilson, 6-7 Hoover, and this 6-6 guy is very intriguing to me.

Hoover clone, although Hoover had his 40 listed at a ridiculous 4.5 (although I'm assuming it was more of a 4.7).
Looks like the Ron English-Pat Narduzzi Ohio recruiting war could be heating up.

Why ridiculous? I believe the times they put on the recruiting sites are official timed stats.

I think sometimes they just take a recruit's word for it and the recruit will most surely exaggerate.

I'm not gonna dig for the post, but somewhere along the line, Big M pointed out that if Tyler Hoover ran a legit 4.5, he'd be a 5*. At first that didn't occur to me, but how many DEs run 4.5's? And if he did, why wouldn't he just drop a few pounds and become a fantastic TE? (then again, you could just be sarcastic, meaning I just made a fool of myself )
Anyways, this kid has size. You can't teach size and speed.

Hoover did run a legit 4.57 at nike camp. He should've been atleast a 4 star recruit. Shame on rivals and their lack of objectivity.
DE's running a 4.5 are extremly more valuable then fast TE's. The majority of DE's in the NFL probably run in the sub 4.6's

This board is lame. A whole thread of crap, and none of it about Dan France. And it starts off with saying there's nothing about him. There is always info on the web about Ohio kids.
Here's film:
Dan France North Royalton Video Scouting Ohio
He looks big, quick, strong and persistent coming off the edge.
In spite of what the morons at ESPN say, he was playing DE in the film above:
ESPN - College Football Recruiting Prospects 2009
He also played basketball and was All-District.
2nd team Ohio Div. 1 as a junior:
http://http://www.vindy.com/news/200...27/division-i/
Look at the offers listed here, MSU, IU, Cinci, Purdue, Iowa, Vandy, UNC, and MAC:
JJHuddle's Ohio High - Ohio High School Sports Stuff
This site lists another BCS offer from Louisville:
College Recruiting - Ohio Division 1 Offers
Plans to camp at ND.

Is someone going to take the "?" out of the thread title.
He's featured on spartanmag today if you've got a subscription. But then if you did, you probably already knew that.

You think their height makes them good candidates for the basketball team?

i am a little concerned with his tackling technique. it seems that a lot of those tackles were the result of the guy running into his chest or his arms being that long and he could barely drag them down.
but what an excellent block shedder!

We need this guy. Dantonio's stance is interesting on this one. I think MSU is in desperate need of DEs. Sounds like Dantonio is confident though.

Newest article says he is being recruited as an OT not DE.
