What? Roland Martin and Otis Wiley aren't impact players.

Martin is pretty solid, but did Wiley do much last year that really impressed you? (Besides the NW game)

Otis didn't have a great year last year. Given...but he was an All Big-Ten honorable mention his Sophomore year. He's got the ability. It seems like these guys are being piled on undeservingly simply because JLS recruited them. Roland is the best player on the o-line and one of the best in the Big Ten.

I'm not trying to be negative just realistic. OSU has back-up Offensive Linemen that are better than Roland Martin and he might have difficulty starting on the OL's of Wisconsin, or Penn St. He's a 5th Year Senior who has had some injuries and has yet to get himself into peak physical condition for an entire season. That's why he didn't opt for the NFL draft last year even though he was eligible because he was considered to be a possible 7th round pick by NFL scouts. Otis Wiley led the Spartans with 4 interceptions last season but only 2 interceptions in 8 Big Ten games on a defense that had a total of only 12 interceptions in 12 games. He was 8th on the team in tackles with 49 in 12 games (avg. 4 per game). They were not impact players last year and need to step it up this season to even be considered impact players.

If thats the case, why are many people saying that Roland is an NFL draft pick next year?

Roland will finish on the all big ten team (probably 2nd team) this year

And if he can bring himself to approve of what's happening, he becomes "groovy." And after that, with much luck and perseverence, he can rise to the rank of "cool."

This year Roland will need to be in top condition, stay injury free and dominate people @ the line of scrimmage to become an impact player and improve his NFL draft status up to the 3rd or 4th Round. This is not my opinion but from a discussion with an NFL scout.
