Thanks for adding absolutely nothing to the commentary. Is this a habit for you?

Go watch Bennie Fowler's video. Then come back to this thread. He catches everything with his hands, fast as hell and looks all of 6'2''. I'm really excited to have this kid comin' in.

And add to that he reportedly onle came out for the team a few days before the first game and only played in 6 games . . . so his potential is about as raw and as untapped as you can get at this point.

Please stop. People that bring this up should be banned for life.

How about trying to recover an onside kick while in return formation.

FWIW, a friend of mine that is PSU alum and follows recruiting very closely. He thought PSU had a shot at Fowler and was disappointed to hear that MSU locked him down.

Great game last night for Fowler

video highlights: He appears very difficult to tackle and has vision. Not even one pass play here, so it is obvious he will be a threat for yards after the catch as well.

Hes got that devin thomas playmaking ability. The guy is a STUD. But what a weird offense, the quarterback must suck at throwing.

He definitely looks good. Can't wait to see him at MSU. The offense is a little weird, but you have to admit it's sort of fun to watch.

anyone who goes to college to play ball has talent over high school competition.

After watching Fowlers tape he looks like a freaking STUD and it goes to show that the star system is way overrated.I would not be surprised to see his stock rise if he has anymore games with those kind of highlights.

It's been clearly noted here, and everywhere else, that he's a 2* because of the injuries last year.

I watched his video highlights vs. Birmingham Seaholm. His HS team (Country Day) appears to be running an offense that is a combination of the Double Wing and the Shotgun. Apparently they are not going to feature much of a passing attack. Bennie is lining up @ Wing Back not WR. It looks like he will not get many opportunities to catch the ball in this offense. When he gets to MSU he will need to be coached in WR techniques and sharpening his receiving skills because of his in-experience.
As a runner he showed cutting ability, good vision, size, strength, and explosion, breaking several tackles in the highlights. We know he has great speed (timed @ 4.36 seconds in the Forty @ MSU's summer camp) and he seems to run @ full speed effortlessly. What impresses me is his ability to make cuts @ full speed without losing any speed. In the first video clip he ran 62 yards for a TD and looked like he was just gliding down the sideline but he was easily pulling away from the pursuit ! Only as an early comparison (don't want to put too much pressure on the kid), he reminds me of Gayle Sayers with that same gliding stride that just pulls away from defenders.
I'm sure Coach D and the staff feel he has good enough hands to be a quality WR because they offered him shortly after he worked out @ the summer camp. He will probably be Red-Shirted as a FR while he learns the WR position but I think he is going to become a big-time player.

For those that care about stars, Bennie has been upgraded to 5.6 on Rivals.

hes ranked #99 out of 100 receivers. Pretty poor ranking for him if you ask me, but whatever in the end it doesn't mean anything. He just has to produce on the field when he gets here.

He's actually 2 notches under 4. 5.7 is the highest 3 star rating.

No worries, the kid has talent. White and Spencer are ranked higher right now anyways, but get no buzz.

On his high school roster he's listed at 6'1 190.
