Hard to believe that he will go to OSU with Terrelle Pryor having 3 years of eligibility left. If we can build on last years on the field success, combined with the 09 class we have lined up I think we have a great shot at him. I have to believe that he will end up as a 5 star QB and I dont know the last time we got one of those.

Pryor will have 2 years of eligibility left, assuming he plays this year (which I believe has been indicated by the sweatervest).

As the last to posts illustrate: Pryor gone after 3 years + Gardner redshirt his freshman year = Gardner 4 year starter at tOSU (unless he leaves early).

I still have to beliece that we have a good shot at him. We have 6 of the top 10 in state kids committed before the season begins with a good shot at 2 more (sims and gordon). Cant believe that this is a fluke, sometimes momentum kicks in. Until he committs I have to still have hope.

Pryor gone after 3 years? While it is a possibility I certainly doubt it. Make no mistake about it Pryor is an incredible athlete, but to put it nicely his passing skills are not very good at all at this point, although pure tools are not his problem. His closest comparison, Vince Young left after 4 years and was not ready at all after 3. He will not be starting this year, seeing spot duty most likely. That means he would have 2 years as a starter before leaving early after his true junior year. How many Qb's leave after their true junior year? Not very many, the guy hasn't even played a down of college football yet. Lets at least wait to see him this year before making a prediction of when he will leave college.

From what i've been reading he was an OSU fan growing up. It doesnt matter who is in front of him when your favorite school as a kid offers you. I still think we have a shot at him but it could be an uphill battle. We have to have a great year on the field

What he said. QBs don't leave after 3 years, especially ones whose college skills don't match what the NFL is looking for.

If Maxwell Red-shirts...

as most think he will, QB is not our greatest area of need for 2010. Any new QB would have to red-shirt in order to be a grade below Maxwell. This is all assumming of course that Maxwell is a good player. However, he may be good enough to beat Nichol and Cousins next year, thus burning a red-shirt and creating a need for a 2010 QB.

No knock on Maxwell but I will be EXTREMELY disappointed if a true freshmen beats out both Nichol and Cousins.

i dont think Dantonio would let a true freshman come in with no game experience without an injury.
