Nick Perry did not qualify
I hope he goes the prep school route and reopens his commitment.

So the top 3 players of the last 2 years
1. Rojo -- so far he is ok, nothing spectacular, has a chance to shine this year
2. Barksdale -- moved to the O-line, backup at LSU
3. Perry -- can't qualify, future up in the air

The square is seldom if ever cool ... He is "not with it", that is, he doesn't know "whats happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." And if he can bring himself to approve of what's happening, he becomes "groovy." And after that, with much luck and perseverence, he can rise to the rank of "cool."

I think its a matter of Has not, not did not. Depending on which area he is deficient in, he still has an oportunity to bring his grades up or raise his ACT score

And Stephen Schilling is…a right tackle, I can’t do this. The Wolverines are in danger of a 5-7 season. And if you’re a hater? It’s beautiful.

I think Barksdale is about to start on the Oline this season, which for a talented LSU team, is pretty impressive. Also Rojo I think did pretty well for a true freshman on the most talented team in the country. The fact he got PT as a true freshman at all is enough to tell me he was as good as advertised.

Yeah, I'm sure he can do summer school or something along those lines if he really wants to qualify.

not that simple, he got a 14 on his ACT he'd need around a 3.5 in his core classes to qualify with such a low score. You just cant fix 4 years worth of damage in 2 months

Well, I assume he retook the ACT (retake was like last week, and the results won't be known for 1-2 months), and generally people with such low scores do a few points better once they get accustomed to the pace of the ACT. If he did retake it, it wouldn't be unreasonable for him to get a 16-19 I'd imagine.

He either got mugged and someone jacked him in the face, or a teammate did it. I forget the details but IIRC someone whooped Barksdale.

He didn't get shot, IIRC, he got his jaw broken in a fight with a guy who was much smaller than him (CB I think?).
As for Perry's ACT score, yeah, its pretty bad, but a lot of the ACT is knowing how to take the test, its mostly common knowledge and logical reasoning (except for the math part), when I took a practice test for it, I got like a 21 the first time, and when I actually took the test, I got a 26 and that was after passing out halfway through the math part. I didn't study or anything really, just was a lot more accustomed to taking it after going through it the first time, maybe it will be the same for Perry.

The more you take it the better you normally do. My score didn't jump drastically since it was already in the mid-20's the first time I took it, but by the third time it was solid. I seriously don't get how you can get a 14 though.

A 14 is pretty sad... that reflects VERY poorly on not just NP but on the state as a whole if that's a "real" number.

The entire state?!?!? No. His parents, coaches, counselors, teachers...all should be questioned. After Nick of course.

apparently Cisco didn't qualify either, so Michigans star DB will be heading to Junior college this year.

I don't know where the MSU board is hearing that, but UM Rivals reported earlier this week that he had qualified.
