well, I'm the best of my dads 3 siblings. Of course, one is 30 and lives at home and the other is in jail.
Point - just b/c he is the best doesn't mean he is great (but I do get your point and I understand how good he is)

The square is seldom if ever cool ... He is "not with it", that is, he doesn't know "whats happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." And if he can bring himself to approve of what's happening, he becomes "groovy." And after that, with much luck and perseverence, he can rise to the rank of "cool."

kinda the same thing Dantonio did with Myles. Although he offered him a scholarship, it's kinda the same thing.

Except that offering a kid a 4-year scholarship is a hell of a commitment and Myles White will actually see time on the field.

First of all, what is with the Titanic message....is this because Mitchell is supposedly a walk-on at UM? s really breed over here...
Also, I really don't think MD offered Myles because of Austin, because he does not seem to be the type to offer kids to take a valuable scholarship spot just to land a family member. I assume, though Myles was not a plan A recruit, MD and staff liked his performance at camp, and ending up offering him. Also, Myles was an 08 and Austin was a 10. What if you do this, Austin doesn't develop the way you think, and you don't even go after him. Then, you have now wasted two scholarships.
And, if you want my back-up for this statement....MD rescinded the offer to Rojo's brother that JLS gave the kid to get into Rojo's good graces. MD would not just throw Corey Johnson an offer to land Rojo. So, why do this with the White brothers?

You are correct IMO.
We wouldn't offer Dixon just to keep Norman and what not.
MD wouldn't burn a scholarship on a kid he didn't think could produce.

And Mitchell White isn't at UofM (according to Paul K) so all of this hand-wringing is moot.

“It’d be really special to me [to play with my brothers in college], it’s been kind of different since they’ve been gone since I’ve been around them so much. It would be great for me to have them around because it makes me more competitive when I’m around them.”

That quote was ripped off from this article posted on GoSpartans.net FWIW. Have to always give the source credit.

They even get really pissed off at them for using their quotes (even though if the kid said it...anyone can use it), so we've gotta be careful. No biggie.

I wrote the article and I personally don't care if you use the quotes as long as the link is given

Now that the quote issue has been cleared up, I must say I find this VERY promising. It would be really nice to lock up another running back and the first commit for the 2010 class early.

Austin will be one of the 2010 Spartan class headliners, mark it down.

I don't see how he could go to another school really. He would never hear the end of it.

Liv Stevenson plays Liv Franklin in their opener tonite. Should be a pretty good test for Stevenson & White, as Franklin also has a solid RB by the name of David Fortin. Am planning on catching at least part of the game & will report back on White's performance.

You heard wrong.
Someone from the game said he ran for over 200 and had 4-5 TDs.
