Those are Bo Jackson Tecmo Super Bowl stats! That can't be right.

Austin White was a lock, until we got Caper and Baker. Now we're still in the lead, but potentially someone could lure him in. Look for a track coach to be somehow involved in his recruitment (i.e. if FSU gets involved he could go there)
But as I said, this kid is the REAL DEAL.

This kid looks like the "skinny" version of LT. Every carry had td potential. Does a great job of looking upfield & being patient waiting for a crease to open. Once it does & he gets into the open field, his cutback ability at full speed is tremendous. They split him out a few times & he made a couple of catches too.
Based on the 41-40 final, you would conclude that the D for both teams was porous,,,,that was the case in this game. Had the Stevenson coach run White more & passed less, they would have won this game going away. I got the feeling that he was trying to make sure that all the kids on the offense got their chances to touch the ball, which was a good thing for the team.
Better defenses will slow this kid up some, but there is no doubt he is a special talent. He would look terrific in the Green & White in a couple of years.

I think we get one or the other. Michigan is bringing in WAY too many QBs this season.

2 QB's -- 3 schools (OSU is in there too)

He's getting a bit too cozy down there for my liking. Seems like he spent half his summer there.

He was up here with Myles and Mitchell all the time last winter.

I'm telling ya, he's a Spartan. I know I'm not exactly going out on a limb, but it will happen. This kid is great and he'll be all over our program with the talent coming in and the carries he'll get in green.

He's not headed anywhere in B10 unless its MSU. He's got quite a legacy here, in both track and football. He'd have to play football and run against his brothers, who go to his father's school. He'll be headed to a USC or Florida if he doesn't go to State. (closest example is Ingram to Alabama, but White has not only his dad but his brothers involved)

St8 Law did you really just compare MSU to USC and Texas? FSU, ok, they have been down for a few years, but the other 2? Their recruiting situations are completely different than ours.

Not St8 Law, but I think he just used those as examples to point out that the fact we have a deep depth chart at RB/QB or any position does not disqualify you for the next year's quality recruits.
Many believe that we will have a less of a shot than some teams for A. White because we have so many RB on the roster....but, all other college teams in the country do as well, so why would this be a big deterrent?

I've seen White play about 4-5 times already. I am surprised at his posted 40 time on the first post of this thread. A 4.7? He looks ALOT faster than that.

No I did not. I was comparing the situation of position depth and the fact that it never scares kids away from other schools. We are not USC, Texas...My point is why can't MSU go deep in a specific position when other schools are way deeper with kids not even from their own state?

i know austin and the white family personally...austin is not a state lock at all so for all you that are saying that just need to stop..to be honest he dosent even want to stay in the big ten if he gets the chance..he also does not care if he plays with his brothers..austin also had 242 yards on 22 carries and 5 touchdowns in the season opener 41-40 vs. cross town rival franklin..austin will also not be getting slowed down at all this season because the league that stevenson plays in isnt the greatest..not to take anyway thing away from austin but its the truth..n anyways when it came to the playoffs last season when he played real defenses he cut them up to...rumor is hes transferring to pioneer next season(where his dad is the head principle)

I think I'll take the kid's own word rather than second hand info from anonymus Internet sources.
