They are listing him as a solid verbal. Nice.

Haha yeah they change daily with this class. We may finish this thing off by the end of August the way things are going.
I think it is safe to say that 4.9 is a little off.

Would I trust JLS with an early commitment? NO!
Would I trust Dantonio with an early offer/commitment? ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY.
I'm not going to question this staff in terms of recruiting. If they offered, he was worth it. Man, with that size he could definately be a nice pickup. This has NOTHING to do with Sims either. We'll find a schollie for a potential Top 100 player in Sims if he wants to be here.

To the people who are questioning this verbal, what is your background in football recruiting and camp evaluations?

This is tInternets... I don't need to have a background in engineering to know if a plane will take off from a conveyor belt.

No ****. I'd love to know where all of you coach at.
Anyway, if Dantonio likes the kid, I'll give him a chance. I'd rather not throw out insults. Up until 10 minutes ago, I didn't even know he existed.

No kidding. We have a bunch of arm chair recruiters in here, that were on the nuts of the MSU recruiters for the 2009 class. Now we get a guy that doesn't have any stars next to his name, and people are wondering what is going on.
Trust the coaches, as long as they win more than they lose.

THis is a guy that they had at their camp. That means their coaches got to work with him one on one to see how he can fit into their system, they get to see if his strengths can make there style better. If this was a verbal just from watching tape then I could understand the questioning but when you get to work with the guy then you know if he's the right guy. Honestly I can tell you that informed coaches do not care about star systems or recruiting websites

So, you're saying Dantonio doesn't care that a RCMB member's response to this recruit is a rabbit with a pancake on its head? He didn't check to see if Rivals rated the guy before he offered?

Get it all out of your systems now. At midnight I'm cleaning up the thread. Just a heads up.

I understand the lukewarm reception as we can't cheer, "we got a 4 star" which, quite frankly, I like doing. Still, I don't see how this could be a C option in July. We don't know why this guy is under the radar/not evaluated and have other BCS offers. I'm just of the opinion that if Dantonio offered the guy in July, he really thinks he's a good player that fits the system.
